Isn't it funny how EVERYBODY is all for freedom of speech, so long as what's being said coincides with their own personal beliefs. Guess what? I'm a Christian. Guess what else? I couldn't care less if a person is homosexual, heterosexual, bi-sexual, asexual, or if an actual unicorn wants to marry a tricycle. Let me reiterate, I DON'T CARE. However, it is Phil Robertson's prerogative to hold whatever beliefs he would like and A&E knew EXACTLY who they were going into business with when they developed a series with him. So shame on them for this "suspension" that is clearly nothing more than a thinly-veiled attempt at damage control. Duck Dynasty is the highest-rated show on their network, so anybody that actually believes A&E is going to give up that cash cow is naive, at best. And if I had to take a guess, I'd say Phil Robertson is probably losing about as much sleep over this suspension as my Grandpa is over missing the Beyonce concert.
I encourage you all to go read the original interview with GQ, linked below, in its entirety so that you can form your own opinions on what Mr. Robertson actually said, rather than trying to sift through thousands of articles that have been written fast and loose, with an alarming amount of poetic license being taken by the liberal media. Oh, and to be clear, at no point did the Duck Commander state that homosexuality is the same as bestiality, no matter how much CNN would have you believe otherwise.
